November

November came and went with a flash it seems. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed some time with family. Over Thansgiving, Grandpa Martini came into town from Michigan and we had a great time visiting with him down at Gammy and Gampy's house. He even made his homemade pasta with everyone's help....it was delicious!

Loving to wear Mr. Potatohead's glasses....they don't fit too well :)

Having fun swimming indoors at a classmate's birthday party.

All the kiddos at the party after the swim (4 are in Jackson's class at school).

Halloween

We had a great Halloween (with wonderful weather!) and a great time with my family. Jill and Anthony had all of us over at their house for dinner. We went trick-or-treating on our street before we headed over to their house and Jackson loved trick-or-treating again this year. He had his first piece of candy and really liked it! Now he asks for "special treats" (as he calls them) daily :)

Our little blue crayon! Jackson picked this costume out all by himself after I took him to a handful of stores to look at various options. It was a great costume :) This was taken prior to music class the Thursday before Halloween.

Carving pumpkins earlier in the day on Halloween. This is the face Jackson told us he wanted on his pumpkin---2 rectangle eyes and a circle mouth :)

Heading out to trick-or-treat!
For those of you that don't know: if you look closely, there are 4 pumpkins, one that says "#2" as we are expanding our family! Jackson is going to be a big brother in April! We are very excited :)

Isabella (aka the pink poodle) and Jackson going trick-or-treating on Isabella's street.

Having fun!

Going from house to house with part of the family.

Pumpkin Patches

Alex, Jackson and I went to a little farm this year where we all had fun!

Getting ready to go on the hayride...the trailer was pulled by a big tractor which Jackson loved!!

A little petting farm. The sheep was so soft!!

Jackson in front of a bale of hay made into a giant spider!

My little sunflowers :)

On a different day earlier in October when Aunt Debbie was in town from Florida (we so enjoyed spending the week with her and miss her so!), we went to the same little pumpkin patch that we went to last year to pick out our pumpkins. Gammy, Jill, Isabella, Gianna and Debbie were there too! It was a beautiful day.

My cute little pumpkin :)

Jackson is so strong! He pulled this wagon with all our pumpkins on it all around!!

This one is cool because it's different :)

Jackson and Isabella (I couldn't get one of her looking at the camera...sorry Isabella!).

Cheese!!

The past few months

Where has the time gone? Just the other day it was summer and now fall has quickly settled in. Where do I begin to update you on all that's been going on? I'll try to do my best...below are a few highlights! More posts to follow.....

Jackson mowing the lawn with Alex....he insisted on wearing his bike helmet. Safety first :)

Jackson's first day of school at the beginning of September. He loves his new school and goes every Wednesday and Friday!

All the kiddos waiting in their cubbies at the end of the day to be picked up. Their teacher, Ms. Cathy, is wonderful :)

Jackson on his big boy bed! We made the transition mid-September and he loves it!!
We had a weekend trip to Dallas for Alex's high school reunion and it was so great to be able to stay with and spend some time with Nee and Pop too!! Jackson had not been there since July 2009, so he didn't remember being there before....so he called it Nee and Pop's new house in Dallas :)
Jackson playing his new game with Pop. Jackson would tap the shaker on the heart tin can and Pop would dance. When Jackson would stop, Pop would stop. It was a game Pop had to endure many times while we were there and Jackson thought it was so fun (we hope Pop did too!).

A great picture of Nee, Jackson and Pop! We miss them and can't wait to see them soon!!

Our Trip to San Diego

We had a wonderful trip to San Diego a few weeks ago!! We went back to the Mission Beach area, just as we did last year, and had a ball again!! We played at the beaches a lot (the bay side which we were on was calm and had no waves, while the Pacific beach was right across the street and had crashing waves), went to the pool, the Wild Animal Park (which was so cool) and had lots of fun! By the way the morning we left, the newest member of the Martini family arrived! Gianna is Jackson's newest cousin and she is so adorable!!

On the bay side right outside our resort. So beautiful!!

Eating out at one of our favorite Italian restaurants!

Jackson was being a little ham!

Out at our pool at lunch time.

Across the street from our resort where the waves were crashing!

The water was chilly so it was nice to take a break from it and warm up under a dry towel!

Loving going into the ocean again this year. It was fun to watch all the surfers (they were in full wetsuits!). It didn't matter that the water was cold...Jackson wanted to go out farther and farther!

Jackson loves to be thrown high in the air by Daddy!!

Enjoying making some sandcastles!

Back at our room playing after dinner.

At the Wild Animal Park. It was such a great place!

Hanging out with Mommy on the bay side.

Jackson enjoyed stomping on the sand castles after we made them!

My two boys walking home from dinner one night :)

Family pic after dinner at sunset!

Eating breakfast outside by the beach at our resort was fun! They had some great coloring books too!

Having dinner at a restaurant on the beach!

This is fun!!

Happy 2 1/2 Birthday, Jackson!

Our little guy celebrated his 2 1/2 birthday this past week. We cannot believe he is growing up so quickly!!

So excited to get a cupcake, listen to Mommy and Daddy sing "Happy Birthday" and then blow out the candle!
Yummy cupcake!
