Our trip to Florida Part 1
We had a great time visiting family in Florida last week (my Mom, sister-in-law Jill, niece Isabella, Jackson and I flew down). It was a little cooler than usual, but we had a lot of laughs and fun times! We visited my mom's sister Debbie and her husband John. My grandparents (GG and GG) drove up to be with us for most of the week, and one of my mom's brothers, Ken came over to visit. One of my mom's dearest friends, Linda, joined us from Michigan and we all had so much fun. Jackson was a champion traveler and did a great job both there and back. He also made us laugh so much and really showed everyone his great sense of humor! His favorite things to say down there were, "Well, hello!" which Alex has said to him every day for so long when he comes home from work, but Jackson has never said it until now. Linda ("Yinda" as Jackson calls her!) also taught him to say, "How you doin'?" (complete with a hand gesture) and Jackson's version was "how doing". He would pull both of these out to anyone who came into the room (or was listening!). See the video clips below to see both of these, plus a little dancing that he loves to do! It was priceless!!

Some fun activities
We've been having fun doing various things this past week! Jackson continues to enjoy singing while playing his guitar and using his vacuum, but now has started multi-tasking and using them together :) As you can see, his hair is growing too and is showing some signs of curls!!

The weather has been beautiful these past few days, so we had the chance to go on walks to the park which were so fun! Jackson loved running around, going down the slides, swinging on the swings, etc. He has also become quite independent and wants to walk/run and not ride in the stroller as much. Here are my two favorite boys walking home from the park...so cute!

We had to go to Pep Boys this past week to get a new headlight for the car and I had no idea it would be such a hit! I guess I haven't been in this store in a while, so I didn't realize how fun it would be. Walking through the tires (and touching all of them!), carrying big buckets all around and finally ending in the dune buggy section was a blast. Jackson had to sit and try out each one...here are a few pics.

And of course we had a trip to the grocery store and when we got home, Jackson loved the job I gave him of carrying the big package of toilet paper into the kitchen. Although he thought it was very heavy at first (it was almost as big as he is!), he loved carrying it around and then had a great idea to make it into a seat. He was so proud to sit on his "big seat"! He even brought his guitar over to play a few tunes....I wish I could have caught that on film, but I wasn't quick enough :)
