A Busy Saturday Part 2

So April 2nd continued to be an eventful day after Jackson's haircut :) He and Alex went to the park while I got a prenatal massage (a recent birthday gift from the both of them). We all had fun; mine was just a more relaxing kind of fun ;) We all got home right before Jackson's nap. Alex took him up for his nap while I had a bite to eat and folded some laundry. Much to my surprise, my water broke as I was getting up from the couch. I wasn't sure if it really did at first, but then as I started to process things, I realized I needed to call my doctor to figure out the next steps. Of course, I was not completely prepared as my c-section date was still over a few weeks away (and my actual due date over 3 weeks away), but as I was in the operating room, it all hit me and I realized our baby girl was about to join us!

6 pounds, 18 inches

Hailey was perfect and needed no assistance after she was delivered. Even though she was technically a preemie at 36 weeks, she was strong and ready to join the party!!

A Busy Saturday Part 1

A couple of weeks ago, we had a pretty busy Saturday.....I will break it up into a few parts. The morning started off with Jackson's first haircut! That's right, his first haircut ever! It was a hard decision to get it cut as it took so long to get to this point, but he had some longer parts that needed to be trimmed up. He was so excited to get it cut and had been talking for quite some time about wanting to go. Ms. Jen is my hairdresser and is so great....she was excited to have Jackson come to see her and said he was the best child she has ever had get a haircut! Jackson just sat in her chair and didn't even move....he had a great time!
